Senani's second album "New Day" was released in 2004 and introduced complete live instrumentation in all songs. The tracks are a mix of styles including a blend of ethnic sounds with jazz/soul influences on 'Thats Life' and an acoustic rock/indian fusion feel on ' New Day'. She also explores her spiritual outlook on life and touches on topics such as war and socialism in her funk/soul song 'Love not War'.

Everything I doSenani, a singer and songwriter who is residing in Australia, has just released her latest album 'Everything I Do'. The album which was released in Australia has received extensive airplay and reviews. The album is a mix of Rhythm and Blues (R&B) songs with an ethnic edge. She wrote all the songs. The album contains five new songs - I am gone, I don't know what to do, everything I do, Baby Boy and Take me to a higher love. She has been performing around Sydney for the last two years and is originally from Newcastle. She has been penning songs from the age of 15 and writes all her current material. She has won several music competitions in Newcastle for singing and dancing accomplishments. She has also appeared on national TV - Newcastle NBN Telethon and Music Variety show in Asia. At the moment, she is recording her next R&B album "Love Not War" which is scheduled to be released in Australian in February. Senani will be traveling to Europe this year to further promote her music. You can contact Senani through her website www.senani.com for further information.

Senani: Everything I Do (2002). Wouldn't have a clue about the current state of commercial music and what gets played on Video Hits and sells by the truckloads in Target, but Senani sure does and wants to be there at the top of the charts and if Half A Cow was a label that specialised in the latest Top 40 pop&r&b, then we'd give beautiful and talented (she writes all the songs herself) Senani a chance at cracking it. Maybe she already has. From my niave and uninformed view, the catchiness of her song 'I Am Gone' (also sent to us as a single with three mixes of the track) is just as good as anything seen on Video Hits while channel surfing. It even has a 'leaving a phone message' bit on it. Special mention to her musical collaborator Sophie Loizou. Senani is originally from Newcastle and one of her first gigs was opening up for Silverchair. Really like 'Everything I Do', reminded me of the Lenny Kravitz-produced Vanessa Paradis stuff.

Everything I Do (EP) - Senani Great soul singer, another Newcastle product!

This is a locally produced R&B track from Newcastle performer, Senani. She's been doing the live club circuit for the past two years and this is her debut single-an Aaliyah-esque number with a slight oriental flavour. The single comprises three edits-Clubs Mix, Radio Mix and Vocal Mix - the first two similar enough to be indistinguishable from one another. Written by Senani herself, it's a fair first attempt that proves her ability to create a catchy pop/R&B track.

Another Novocastrian, but though opening for the Chair - back when they were the Innocent Criminals, yet-making very different music. This is well made for an indie, very commercial R&B, of what is called that these day. It really does sound like it should be running out of your TV on a Saturday morning. Has some suitably ethnic flavour coming through to make it a little more individual, and that stutter in it that makes dancing to it in need of a little thought between head and feet. And there's that phone-tone noise again. Sorry there's only the one song (and mixes thereof) but an EP is on the way, apparently.
